Indo is a spanish multinational company focus on design and marketing of lenses, eyeglass frames, sunglasses and equipment for opticians and ophthalmologists. Indo has over 70 years experience in the ground of optics, continues to lead the spanish market and to support a strong international expansion.

Indo, the first spanish multinational in the optical sector, has the headquartered in Sant Cugat del Vallès. With a workforce of a thousand workers, exports its products to over 80 countries and has subsidiaries in the United States, France, Italy, Portugal, India, Morocco and Chile, and production centres located in Spain, China and Thailand.

The Lens Unit is what contributes most to the turnover of the company, thanks to the introduction of new products with high added value as EyeMADE, the first completely personalized progressive lenses designed for the eye of each user. These lenses would put to Indo as the world leader in the design and manufacture of customized progressive lenses.

Secondly, the Capital Goods Unit remains the market leader in optical spanish market and continues its strong growth in international markets that consolidate as the fourth largest maker of faceted systems.

Third, Glasses Unit currently has a wide range of brands and collections, each with features and character-to suit the personality and needs of consumers. Among the signatures of glasses include leading brands such as McLaren, Custo Barcelona, Carolina Herrera, Paco Rabanne, Purificación García, Guess and Chupa Chups and others.

To maintain its leadership in the ground of ophthalmic optics, Indo commitment to a differentiation strategy taking into account both the product service and customer care. This is possible thanks to the investment the company has been for years in research, development and innovation (R+D+i), which represents about 3% of turnover. The results have been significant: 60% of sales are of products that have been presented to the market over the past three years. Currently, the R+D+i is formed by professionals from different sectors such as chemistry, physics, optics, engineering and telecommunications.
