Last May 16 BCD and the Barcelona City Council organized in New York the first BCN Design Day with the participation of 19 Catalan companies, including Nani Marquina , which were attending the ICFF in the American city. This initiative, part of the BCN Design Export, aims to create synergies and business opportunities between 19 leading design manufacturing companies based in Barcelona and a selected group of local professionals and businesses.

The companies from Barcelona represent the paradigm of the excellence and the competitiveness of the brand “Designed in Barcelona”, and thus, the BCN Design Day has been a great opportunity for American businesses to network and to find synergies and business opportunities,  as well as to understand why Barcelona has become one of the most attractive and creative cities in the world.

This event, organized in collaboration with the RED (The Spanish Design Businesses Assembly) and Surface, was held at the Tribeca Grand Hotel.
